St. Nicholas' Church Bringhurst

The village of Bringhurst sits atop a hill with commanding views over the Welland Valley. The church of St. Nicholas is central to the village on the summit of the hill.

Visitors to church services are welcome to park on the hard standing in the padock opposite the church with kind permission of the churchwarden, see Contacts.

The church has an electronic keyboard that is used for regular services. Some couples may choose to hire a bigger instrument or bring in musicians for weddings.

Regular services are held approximately every fourth Sunday. See the Bringhurst Services page.

The church is available for weddings, baptisms and funerals. Please contact the Rector in the first instance if you are considering a special service in Bringhurst church. For other matters please contact the churchwarden.

The church's ancient burial ground is no longer available, however there is provison for interments at the cemetry on the north side of the village. The cemetry is administered by Bringhurst, Drayton and Nevill Holt Parish Council who need to be contacted separately (click B in A-Z of services).

Extensive restoration work has been carried out on the church tower, windows and chancel. Further restoration will involve improving the lighting, restoration of the Lady Chapel and restoring areas where seating is currently restricted.
